Consignments will consider marketing English-language books for you
on consignment for an agreed percentage of completed sales with no further obligation. We recommend
ABE for you to compare
pricing/condition of your book(s) prior to contacting us. This will
aid in determining if your book meets our minimum value criteria and
for comparison of your book's condition.
◊ Our service includes creating a custom worldwide web page presenting the item, with your photos and any other known background on the work. The webpage is then placed on major search engines by us and submitted to
additional book marketing websites. This is the advantage of using focused marketing rather than a general online auction sale to place your book
with Readers and Collectors for the fair market value price. Our Agreement with you includes a 5-month minimum to 12-month maximum period (or longer if you wish) in which we will have Exclusive Sales Rights to the book within an agreed highest-to-lowest price range (which we will research for current value). As it takes up to six weeks for search engines to list new submitted pages, choosing the option of a 5-month sale is fine, but in this case your sale will only be searchable by potential Buyers on major search engines for approximately 3.5 months.
◊ The book or book set is held by you until it is sold. Proof of your possession of the item is established by the quotations and detailed digital or scanned
.jpg photos we require of you. Once the sale is made and payment received into our Escrow account, we will email you Proof of full payment having been received from the Buyer. At this point you, as Seller, will receive the pre-agreed payment immediately upon our receiving from you a scanned copy of your dated Shipping Receipt with Tracking # to Buyer's address.
To ensure the security of your mailed book(s), we highly recommend
that you ship your sold book by USPS 2-Day Express for U.S. sales. Payments
to Sellers are made either by PayPal.com or mailed Check sent by Priority Mail with
Tracking. ◊ Please give details of your
